A volunteer organization dedicated to saving lives through search, rescue, and mountain safety education.
If you have some climbing experience and think you may be interested in joining Central Washington Mountain Rescue, we are always looking for new members.
New Member Requirements:
- Receive a background check from the Yakima County Sheriff
- Attend the Yakima County Sheriff Search and Rescue Academy
- Be willing to participate in ongoing training
- Have or obtain certain personal climbing gear required for participation in unit activities
- Be available for missions
